The Tavern

Pull up a stool at our cozy Tavern or settle in for an intimate night with your guests. The Tavern can host up to 16 guests. When combined with the dining room, the space can fit a total of 30. Host your event in the open air or under a tent. Day or night, rain or shine, The Barnstead Inn works with vendors who offer a tent to comfortably fit the size of your party of up to 80 guests. Hollister’s Lounge

Arriving late summer 2026, our newest gathering space will welcome up to 50 guests for formal seated events or 75 for cocktail-style receptions. Offered as part of our Whole Property Block and White House Micro Block event contracts, creating new opportunities for celebrations at the inn.

Hollister’s Lounge is a 2,500 sq ft private event space designed for memorable gatherings—from corporate retreats and rehearsal dinners to bridal showers, weddings, and celebrations with friends and family. The 1,500 sq ft main level features a Vermont-inspired bar, a future cigar room, two restrooms, and access to an expansive covered wraparound porch (525 sq ft)—perfect for cocktails, conversation, and fresh mountain air. The 950 sq ft lower level provides additional flexible event space along with its own restroom, making it ideal for breakout sessions, dancing, or more intimate gatherings.
